The sleeve is manufactured according to the following standards:
SAE J1453 – Standard for ORFS fittings
ISO 8434-3 – International standard for O-Ring Face Seal connections
DIN 2353 (for compatible metric tube dimensions)

The welded sleeve becomes an integral part of the tube. When connected to an ORFS fitting, the O-ring in the sealing face compresses against the mating surface, forming a leak-free metal-to-elastomer seal.
