Connection Type

This adapter has two different connection types:

• NPT Male Thread (National Pipe Tapered):
  The male end features a tapered thread which seals by thread deformation. It is a widely used thread type in North America, primarily for high-pressure applications. Teflon tape or thread sealant is typically used to ensure leak-tight connections.

• ORFS Female Thread (O-Ring Face Seal):
  The female end is flat-faced with an internal O-ring. When mated with an ORFS male fitting, it creates a reliable, zero-leak connection suitable for high-pressure hydraulic systems. The ORFS system is well known for its vibration resistance and easy maintenance.

This dual-standard adapter allows seamless connection between NPT-threaded ports and ORFS-threaded components.
