ORFS Male (O-Ring Face Seal):
The ORFS male end conforms to SAE J1453 / ISO 8434-3. It has a flat face with an integrated O-ring, designed to seal against an ORFS female fitting. The O-ring is compressed during assembly, ensuring a leak-free, high-pressure connection, especially resistant to vibration and thermal expansion.
JIC Female 74° Cone with Swivel Nut:
The female end features JIC (Joint Industry Council) 37° flare thread, which equals a 74° included angle seat. This side includes a crimp/swivel nut, allowing easy tightening during hose assembly. The JIC side conforms to SAE J514 / ISO 8434-2, sealing through metal-to-metal contact between the 37° male flare and the female cone seat.

This adapter enables reliable, serviceable connection between ORFS rigid tube ends and JIC hose assemblies with crimp nuts.
